2012 Ennies Nominees

Sorry about this, but I'm a little late to the party. If you're a fan of table top RPGs, and if you're here I have to assume you are, then you should stop reading this blog, click this link, and vote for the 2012 Ennies. Voting is live through Sunday, July 29th. There is also a lot of great stuff on here and multiple categories to vote on. So, take the plunge and give them a vote.

When you're done with that, come back here and give folks a reason to vote for the product you loved. Sell us on what makes it awesome or stand out. Tell us why you loved it.

For my own part I've been a little more insular this past year than I otherwise would have liked when it comes to the gaming scene. Not that I haven't been gaming, but I've been keeping pretty close to home. I have a Deathwatch game, 2 L5R games, a Dresden Files game, and a Marvel Heroic RPG game. Of those 5 games there really is only one that is "new" and I haven't seen the competition to give it a fair shake.

I am hoping to do better next year with this and have much better informed opinions. Still, it is awesome to see the Marvel Heroic RPG up for both Best Game and Best Rules. Ashen Stars - by Robin D. Laws and Pelgrane Press - is also a very solid book that I've sadly never gotten a chance to run. A friend of mine was a kickstarter supporter for Bulldogs and has had nothing but rave reviews of the system.

The point is, there are a lot of great games out there. Go help pick the ones who get this year to shine as the best!
