As you all - the regular readers anyhow - should know, I am currently running a Marvel Heroic RPG. It is going well, and my players seem to be having fun. However, the game does enough things differently that I am having some concerns about the system and wanted to expand on my thoughts. Perhaps someone here will have the solutions for my woes, or perhaps it is just something that needs to be out there to be addressed. Some of these are a lot less serious than others, but they still deserve at least some mention. Let's begin.

Discussion: Marvel Heroic RPG - 2 Powersets vs. 1
This is a system specific post, specifically the Marvel Heroic RPG. It will also likely be a short post as I'd really like to get other opinions on this. So, basically, here is the issue as I see it:

Marvelous Miami - Second Session Impressions
As I am writing this I've just ended the second session of my Marvel Heroic RPG. The game itself went well and no one so much as picked up a die for a roll - with one exception. I think things went fairly well and was kind of the exact type of session that I, and hopefully some others in the group, needed to go forward with the game. As such, today's post is less about the Marvel Heroic RPG system, and more about what I did and why.

Marvelous Miami - Half An Apocalypse
((I swear, I'll figure out how to schedule a post properly and reliably soon...this was set for 12 pm not 12am as intended.))
Did you think I was done talking about the Marvel game? Well, I'm not. Honestly, I haven't been this excited about a game I'm running in a long time. Don't get me wrong, I love all three games I am GMing (L5R, Deathwatch, and now this) but there is just something special here. Maybe it is my love for super hero stories, maybe it is the excitement of trying out a new system, or maybe it is just the "early story" jitters that we get when we're at the beginning of something and see only the possibilities. Either way, today I want to talk about what two of my players (granted, one may only be a now and then appearance) did and what it may mean for the game.

Marvelous Miami - First Session Impressions
So, on the down side, the thunderstorms my area had last night meant no blog post was ready to go up today at midnight. On the upside, that means you don't have to wait for tomorrow to get my first impressions from the first official session with the Marvel Heroic RPG. Let's dig in, shall we?

Marvelous Miami - Head Count
Today, well tomorrow at the time of this writing, I begin my Marvel Heroic RPG game. In the spirit of this awesome trailer for the Avengers movie, and the fact my game is set in the Marvel movie verse, I figured that'd make a good post for today. I don't normally do posts about games I am playing/running but several people have expressed an interest, and as this is everyone at the table's first experience with the system, I figure I can also use it as a journal of system experiences. Thursday will be the first session impressions, as I write the posts ahead of time usually for the midnight updates.
