One of the places where I'm a "bad" gamer is that I don't have a great love for dungeon crawls. For someone who has played as many years and editions of Dungeons and Dragons you'd think this wasn't so, but generally I don't like them.
I don't mind going into a dungeon as part of a story. I don't mind the challenges in them. In general though they tend to be my least favorite part of a game, and I think in large part it is because of how much they can slow the game down when they happen.
That said, I know a lot of people love them. So are you among the many that love them? Do you prefer them as a GM or a player? And what about them do you love? The challenge of the puzzles and traps? The focus on combat? The sense of exploration and danger while being in hostile territory?
The dungeon is an alien environment the exploring and interaction is what I like. While I enjoy a fun combat system fighting isn't really the goal and only path to success (and fun).
