This blog has been going for about 3 years now. When it started I joked that I could probably find things to talk about in gaming forever. Turns out, that is a lot harder than I thought it'd be. I think I've done fairly well, but I do go over the same ground at times. I'm also more or less at the whim of issues I run into or otherwise come across in talking with folks.
So, today, rather than prattle on about something or other I figured I'd come to you and ask what you would like this blog to talk about. Is there something you'd like to see more of? Something you'd like to see less of? A specific topic you'd like me to go over? Sound off in the comments and let me know!
Let's see, you recently talked about character death, but how about ways to introduce the new character that doesn't feel extremely awkward? Usually an andventuring group is very close knit, but somehow this random person we know nothing of is accepted, why? Are there any less-awkward ways?
ReplyDeleteAnd what about NPC's? I've been using Factions to organize them (well, not all) in my campaign, which made it easier to introduce trustworthy or suspicious NPC's. Are there any other ways to introduce NPC's to your players instead of 'I know this one person that might be able to help you' or 'the innkeeper seems to know more about the subject'.
Something else I ran into in my own campaign is that one of my players is/was very paranoid and she has infected the other players with it. How can you deal with behaviour that is so paranoid it disrupts the game? I've eventually talked it over a LOT with the individual players and the group and it seems to have helped, but I'd like to know if there are ways to handle this.
Hope one of these might help you. ^^
All of those are awesome. Thanks!
