Wrapping Up November, Looking To December

Today marks November 30th. It's the final day for NaNoWriMo and the final day for November in general. I hope everyone enjoyed the month. If you live in the U.S. I hope you had a good thanksgiving.

Going forward we have December, a month that can be hectic for everyone. This blog should be back to the normal schedule starting Monday, but with the holiday craziness I can't make any guarantees that I'll hit every day. Still, we'll try.

That said, I'm curious what everyone's plans are for going into December. Do you have anything special planned for your games? Are you hoping for anything gaming related for christmas? Do you enjoy the shopping and the crowds? The excuses to stay inside as it snows outside?

Personally, I think the game I'm most looking forward to is my Shadowrun game. Yes, it gets a bit of bias by being the new game - and a new system, setting, and everything else being new to excite me - but I also think there is a lot that can be done in that game to make it interesting and unique. I'm also looking forward to playing more old school, and having to force myself to make some of the hard calls like "you don't see him, you're dead!" depending on how the PCs act.

Play wise I'm not sure if I'm more excited about the Dresden Files game or my housemate's L5R game. Both games are at a point where a lot of very fun things can happen. ironically, they're also both at a point where my character may be going away for a very long time if things aren't played out carefully. It should be fun!

So, what about you and your games? Anything you want to share?
