So, GenCon is this weekend. In fact, as you're reading this, I believe the con has already started. Which means that if you're reading this, you're likely not at the con. Alternatively, your dedication to this website rivals my own, and I haven't missed a post in a long time...
Anyhow, with GenCon here, that means a lot of new games are coming out, and a lot of new announcements are going to be made. So, what are you looking forward to the most? What are you hoping to hear the most about?
Personally, I'd like Fantasy Flight to make another announcement and give some information on what they were hoping to do with the Star Wars RPG license. Is it going to be close to the Dark Heresy system? Are they making a brand new system for it? What era will the base game take place in? How will they cover the other eras?
That is what I'm interested in. Other things include information on Black Crusade (also by Fantasy Flight) and just seeing what gems escape the show floor. How about you?
I got to stop by Gencon thursday and wandered around, picked up some giant d10s and a few other odds and ends. I picked up a card game called 'Hike' which is pretty fun especially for the kids.
ReplyDeleteI found the Traveller books far too late in the day and was to tired to stand and go through them. From what I did see, it looks like the artwork is updated and looks far more modern. If I would've found it earlier I'd probably be reading through a book or two right now.
